idgroup was founded in 1989 as Image Development Marketing Group. At inception, our focus was primarily creative services. Our mission was straightforward: Do cool creative work that worked. Early on we were instrumental in building the Better Built brand to national prominence.
After several years focused purely on production and creative services we became increasingly interested in how we could help clients improve employee performance in alignment with the promise our creative work made to the marketplace.
Our focus shifted and we began using what we learned from our clients. Today, idgroup is a thought leader in the fields of integral branding—a term that we coined. Our From the CoreTM process has been field tested and emerged as a proven performance model.

Image Development Marketing Group is founded in Pensacola, Florida. The first office was located on East Wright Street
1992
Moves the office into Pensacola on Baylen St.
1998
Branding from the Core became a registered trademark
1999
Develops brand strategy and campaign for first national product, Better Built tool boxes
Moves offices across three mile bridge to Baybridge Office Complex in Gulf Breeze
2000
Image Development Marketing Group shortened it name to idgroup
2002
Ray Anderson, founder and chairman of Interface, inspires idgroup towards organizational change management
2005
Moves into the Seville Historic District at 300 East Intendencia St. to help more organization tell their stories
