Today, we wanted to introduce one of our idgroupers, Samantha Cheney, so you can learn more about our team members.

Q. Where did you grow up?
A: I was born in Pensacola and spent parts of my life here and in Flagler Palm Coast, FL.
Q. Where do you live currently? What is your favorite thing about the community where you live?
A: I currently live in Milton, my favorite thing about my community is the peaceful and serene environment around me.
Q. What do you do at idgroup?
A: I work as a graphic designer at idgroup. I work on anything from large scale creative projects to short and quick production tasks
Q. How long have you been with idgroup?
A: I have been with idgroup for 8 months.
Q. What certain core values do you have in common with idgroup?
A: A core value that I have in common with idgroup is being solutions focused. There is something really energizing about being surrounded by people who are in a constant solutions focused mindset. I strive to frame my perspective in this way each day and the idgroup team facilitates an environment that encourages that as well.
Q. What are your guiding principles / mottos in life?
A: “Live more consciously each day. Stop sleepwalking through life. Your life is something to be experienced, not coasted through.” I strive to indulge in and experience each moment to the fullest and not only live through the ‘remember when’ moments of life.
Q. What is your favorite hobby?
A: My favorite hobby is working with all different types of fine art materials. I enjoy painting with watercolor and acrylics, sculpting/pottery, woodworking, etc. My next art project will be framing and laying out the pressed flowers from my bridal bouquet from my wedding last June.
Q. Tell me about your pets!
A: I have a dog named Mavis. She is so sweet and a big bundle of energy. She definitely keeps me busy!
Q. Are you involved in anything locally (i.e. volunteering, committees, board, events, etc) that you’d like to share with?
A: I have been involved in a variety of volunteer groups throughout my time in Pensacola. Most notably I enjoy volunteering with the UWF Community Garden. Spending time weeding and being outside and at the end of it collecting some fresh veggies to bring home for dinner.
